Our atelier O Grove (Pontevedra),
creates jewelry and accessories with seashells since 1978.

The trade of “collareira” dates back almost two hundred years and is traditional in the town ofO Grove, totally linked to the sea in the Ría de Arousa, and which is the tourist island of La Toja. It is only here where, for generations, artisan women exhibited and sold their creations.

At present, this activity, recognized with the distinctive Craft of Galicia, is at risk of disappearance due to lack of generational relief. Our workshop aims precisely to maintain and revitalize this practice with a contemporary style.

The fundamental element, raw material and base of all our work is the marine shell always set with different threads according to the hardness of it and that can be fishing line, nylon thread, silk thread, etc.

We make all kinds of accessories: necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings, headbands, brooches, sandals, hats …

Our works are aimed at all types of audiences, with sophisticated and elegant collections, but also cheerful, fun and casual. In all of them we take into account factors such as: fashion trends, colors, originality and, above all, respect for an ancestral profession that we are passionate about.
